Our Philosophy:
We regard our clients as partners and resolve their problems as our own.
Our Staged Approach:
We ensure the complete understanding of our client’s needs through effective communication.
SteLar strives to communicate with our clients to develop a complete project scope understanding. We develop a full understanding of the desired physical and operational characteristics of the finished product. This enables us to apply our multi-disciplinary experience to manage risks and identify potential mitigation measures during the earliest conceptual phases of the project. A clear communication of goals and risks early in the project is critical to developing the project’s scope, schedule, and budget. Often the budget has already been established and this early cycle risk identification process will allow opportunity to tailor the scope to fit within a pre-determined budget.
We assemble a customized team of professionals to address the specific needs of each project.
SteLar’s primary support staff is composed of experienced engineers, designers, consultants, and specialized professionals that are assigned only to those projects that fit their specific skill set. Project tasks that fall outside our technical scope will be assigned to one of our extensive subcontract partners – specifically selected based on their expertise and availability as related to ongoing workload. This approach ensures that the correct talent is utilized on each aspect of the project. SteLar is not a large institutional consulting firm that must drive staff sold time to support its large overhead structure. Such institutional models often result in inexperienced or underutilized staff being assigned to tasks they are not qualified for – resulting in inefficient use of time and poor quality of work.
We apply a multi-disciplinary approach to Risk Management from project inception through completion.
SteLar understands that managing risk throughout the project life-cycle is critical to delivering the desired scope within the constraints of budget and schedule. Identification, assessment, and communication of these risks enables the effective use of pre-established mitigation measures to be utilized throughout the project’s decision making process. Project risks come in many forms – from system failures to natural disasters to legal liabilities to the selection of the wrong vendor or component. SteLar’s diverse experience allows us to actively manage the project scope by applying a multi-disciplinary approach to identify, reduce and manage risk. Incorporation of risk reduction strategies into the conceptual design minimizes scope creep and downstream change – thereby controlling costs, limiting schedule impacts, and ensuring a quality end product.
We instill our core belief of safety and protection of the environment into everything we do.
SteLar is committed to the concept of Zero Harm to our employees, clients, general public, and our environment. SteLar believes that everyone affected by a project, the local community, the designers, the constructors, and the end users should go home every day in the same or better condition than when they left. If we cannot work in a safe manner, we will not work. A focus on safety is applied throughout the project life cycle to ensure that the project can be built safely and the end product can be utilized in a safe manner.
Our Diverse Team:
As former end users, consultants, managers and contractors, we understand the synergies required to achieve a truly successful project.
